The MANCO project has been awarded €3 million from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme.

On 30^th January 2020, the European Commission launched an emergency funding action to advance our understanding of the COVID-19 epidemic, contribute to more efficient clinical management of patients infected with the virus, as well as public health preparedness and response. This emergency funding action is part of the Horizon 2020 Programme under the call for projects ‘SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020’.

Of the 91 projects submitted to this particular H2020 call, only 18, including MANCO, were funded. Without this funding, our collaborative research at European level to develop monoclonal antibodies against COVID-19 would not have been able to take place.
